sharp turns cause stereo to turn off

I've noticed lately that at times if I turn the steering wheel very far to the right or left that the stereo will shut off and go back on. Also, random lights on the dash flash on and off but the car never stalls or anything. What could this be? Usually happens in the morning when it is very cold outside. Seems to be ok otherwise.

I have had this problem also, but it has not happened in the last few months. End up loosing the radio for a few minutes or till I turn off the car and restart it.

I am not sure of the cause either.

I would guess that you have a wire in the back of the head unit that has come loose, due to the g forces during the turn it could cause it to lose conection. Check all connections, as well as that the fuse is secure.

If you have electrical connections in the steering wheel for radio controls, etc a connection could be getting loose. Cold weather may add to the issue due to contraction under extreme cold - creating more space between connectors that are supposed to be snug.

I was guessing it would be something like that, since it only seems to happen in the morning when it is extremely cold out. I guess I won't worry about it. I just thought it was rather odd.
