Seat Belt light malfunction

Seat Belt light malfunction

hey guys...i was wondering if anybody could help me out with this. My seat belt light seems to be malfunctioning because even though my seatbelt is on the light will come on as if i wasnt wearing it but then it will go away. this happens very eratically where it will switch on and off and on again. Any advice is greatly appreciated

What year do you have? This is a old recall. Take your 8 in and your dealer will get it fixed.

mine is a 2005 and i took in to get it fixed. they never fixed it because they couldnt replicate the problem so now im clueless on what to do...any help at all is appreciated

Take it a dealer that knows there *** from a hole in the ground. Then call MONA and tell tem about what happen.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. It happend then didn't happen--on and off. My car is no longer under warranty for little stuff like that. So instead of brining it into the dealer I decided to spray air into the selt belt connection first. I used the air spray they use to clean dust out of computer keybroads. (My idea was that dust maybe preventing the sensor from reading the connection). So far so good as I have not had that problem again.
I recommend you give it a try before you pay some dealer money to fix it, unless you are still covered under warranty for that.
