Seals blown?
I've spent a week searching the site for something about this, and I haven't found anything specific enough, so here goes...
2004 manual with about 67k miles
Questions:
1. Can my engine be saved?
2. Is there any chance in Hell the 8 year/100k warranty can cover this?
3. Any use in filing an insurance claim?
The Story:
November 27th, I ran over this lying in the middle of the street:
as I was changing lanes, and it put a 3" crack in my radiator:
In the area where it happened, there was no safe place to pull over and park my car immediately, so I ended up dragging this jack a couple thousand yards until I could pull over in someone's front yard and remove it from beneath the car. Then I had to limp it to a public parking lot a few miles away, and it stalled out as I coasted into a parking space.
I finally had it towed home the next day, ordered the replacement, and got it installed last week. When I got everything back together Thursday night, it started it up just fine. I let it run in the driveway for about 20 minutes so it could start registering heat, and it maintained temp just fine. I shut it down to check the coolant level, I topped off my fluids, and when I went to start it up again, it wouldn't start. It'll light up, the battery is still good, it cranks and tries to catch, but it won't turn over. I even tried to jump it with our Nissan Altima with no luck.
I closed everything back up, pushed it back into the garage, and started doing research.
I retraced my steps checking all my sensors. I checked the oil and it looked and smelled fine. I checked the coolant and it looked and smelled fine. When it was running, there was no smoke from the exhaust. The car's been sitting for almost a week while I've been baffled.
My searches led me to pull my spark plugs last night, and here's what I found:
Pulled the top leading plug, and about 1/3 cup of coolant and oil came out... same thing with the bottom leading. Top and bottom trailing plugs only gave me about a teaspoon of water and coolant each.
Flame away!

Yea you did not mention what kind of insurance you have, but if you have the proper one(comprehensive in this case?) then yes insurance will cover it. It might just be a bumpy road now that you are WEEKS past when it happened. Hopefully you contacted them on the day it happened just to let them know you may be filing a claim.
