Rx8 won't rev low and rattle noise

that oil is on the MAF and IAT. if you dont clean them the problem will continue

done that its starts and idles for aound 7 mins then dies there is a rattle noise under the car

rattle could be anything. plugs are probably fouled. how did you clean the MaF and IAT?

i used electronic cleaner from my work i just put in new spark plugs i have uploaded a youtube video will get the link i check the coils with a spare plug and a spare ht lead not one for then sparked could be faulty lead or all my coils are done

this car has not run in 6 months and the battery is dead as soon as i get a jump it starts also in the video it died soon after

looed at my cat after 5 mins of idling the car wants to die i looked under it and found the cat was glowing at two parts and it was bright red

Just remember, something caused that cat to go bad. It's still likely an ignition problem.

yeah i think it was the coils that caused it to go bad after a changed the plugs and coils the code for misfire went away now just need a new cat and i hope thats it fixed

another thing is she once the cat glows and it dies it wont start again is that normal for a failed cat

In my case the rattling was definitely due to pieces of the cat. It seems I actually have some further back, may be in my muffler cause I can hear them sliding inside when I stop and take off.
