RX8 starts only when pushed

I have a 2004 RX8 which has done 35000. I started it one night (after a break of 5 days, Winters, 3-4 degrees celsius) and it started. I turned it off. Everything was fine.

From next morning onwards it did not start. It was checked for flooding and plugs were changed.

The "experts" pushed start it with LITTLE push and then it runs just fine. The battery is BRAND NEW. But it is not starting from self. But starting very easily with a push.

The experts are saying that its engine power has reduced (in just one day) and for the last 5 days I am in a fix. They say that it needs to be overhauled. I do not believe it as the engine power in driving etc is just fine but the only problem is that it is not self starting.

Please help.
