Greetings all, let me tell you the story...

Like many other RX8 owners I'm having an issue with the car stalling during stopped or idle after pushing it to highway speeds or mild quick acceleration.

I had an issue with the AC not working and I had it tested and a leek was found, so they plugged the leak with sealer, and re filled the freon.

Two weeks or so later is when I started having issues. Seemed that the car was running sluggish after I gave it a good pull, and then the stalling issues happened. Usually cranks back up after 3 or 4 times trying to start it.. Sometimes I have to wait 20 min before it starts. It would run sluggish, untill maybe 15 min of driving then it seemed fine.

So like everyone I figured hey its about time to replace the Coils Sparks and wires, since the car wreaked of gas when it started, and most here said it seems its the coils and sparks.

So I did, and the issue persisted. 2 days after I now had a rattling on the front under the engine only while accelerating quickly after 2ond or 3rd gear.

I got really mad and almost went to the stealership to get the compression test, and alternator test done.. Ya they want to charge separately for checking your Cat/Alternator and battery levels/compression test. over $200..

So... I ripped off the engine guard to listen to see if it would make noise from idle or while my friend revd it...

Well BEHOLD! Wait a min.. wtf.. why is my cold air intake tube thingy half off from my air filter casing.... ****, walk inside grab my socket set and un clamp it and re connect it properly.. It was basically just touching the casing.

Oh, so go test my car, accelerates perfect, push it hard, and it idles great.. (well, as good as a RX8 can idle when its hot, and getting to 133k. still sounds rough.) Everything is ok BUT I have a rattle coming from the engine possibly the middle or under side... happens when I'm accelerating end of 2nd and through 3rd gear(auto trans).. kinda sounds a rattle then like sand or small pebbles smacking inside the hood, then it stops quickly when you let off the gas.

What could it be? and I don't know witch bonehead it was who forgot to attach the intake hose. The guy who did my AC first, or the guy who replaced my coils/sparks/wires yesterday....
