Hey I've got this problem. The audio is working even the cd input but the display shows like the picture . Any help please??

 

i think you might have a problem with your display plug you need to check to c if it is well plugged

 

Agreed. When I worked on my unit the display was not completely tight and I had problems like that.
Once plugged in correctly, no problems.

 

OH! I just took my 2004 Rx8 in today to get an MP3 jack put in. I was having a similar problem, except that display wasn't lighting up at all. While they had the stereo off, I told them to fix it. They merely pushed together plug that had become undone, and nothing more. I think I remember seeing a couple threads about how to fix this yourself when I was first searching about it, since it seems to be a common problem.

My wife informed me that our display is doing the same thing. Did you find out what was wrong? If so how did you fix it?
