Yes rx8 gas tanks are saddle style.
We removed the driveshaft, exhaust, braces, under bracing, ebrake cables,
and shield and found that there was a hole on the side inside near the shield -_- I guess a Rock hit his tank and made a hole. His car is too low..

We sanded the area with 100 grit dry, cleaned it with paint thinner, and then plugged it with alot of JB weld, then fiberglass resin patched it. Hopefully this works. If not we , found another gas tank from a totalled rx8.
