So prior to my REW swap the keyless entry worked perfectly. Obviously alot has changed since then including moving to a haltech PnP ECU. I recently tried throwing the Stock ECU back in and got no changes. Perhaps I will try the adaptronic again to see if it does anything. Does the ECU even interact with the keyless system? As far as I know, I have not touched any of the passenger side modules or connectors.
I have also tried 5 different key fobs and swapped batteries all around. Doing the relearning procedure
All doors shut
open driver
key on/off 3 times
Close/open driver door until the locks actuate into learning mode
Press unlock two times (nothing happens)
Close door and locks exit learning mode
In my searches I have found that there is the antenna behind the rear bumper with a connector in the trunk. Checking this with a DMM the antenna has continuity, but when I unplug it and check the car side of the connector, both wires ground out. I can check with my other car to see if the behavior is the same. The wires for this are black and black/redStripe. Strangely I can't find the wiring diagrams for these antenna at all. Maybe I am only seeing manuals from different years or versions of the car. I will double check this on my other car.
Spoiler
One of my other thoughts was that during my endeavors I had drilled through a bit of the main driver firewall harness.(I had drilled here on my other car without issue, for some reason the wires were bunched over in the rubber on this car). Which I had taken out and repaired. I remember the fix for the wiring to be very straight forward though and not being confused on wiring. I found the image, so it looked like i hit the red and blue wires which were easy enough to repair. Then there was all the black with red stripe wires which are clasped together closer to the bottom of the image. So I am kinda doubtful this is part of my issue, but worth mentioning. Perhaps I missed plugging in a connector under the dash?
