Rx8 Flood Problem
im looking to buy a rx8 this guy is selling it for $3500 its the gt model 2004 with 70k miles ws in a accident but he said this
"The engine flooded (common rx8 problem) and doesn't want to start back up. I had an engineer work on it for 2 weeks and he has concluded that it was the engine not holding compression at low rpm. It turns over and everything works other then the engine"
he says it needs a new engine? or a rebuild ?
do you think the engine is just flooded and i need to do the trick to get all the fuel out of it?
when i go to look at it what should i test should i do a compression test? if so how do i do that lol?

See the first thread in my sig, post #7 i think, for a complete description of what all a compression test entails. It will have to be done at a dealer.
With that little bit of information, we really can't give you any more clarity. Everything would just be guesses. Could be flooded, could be completely dead engine, could be a starter issue, could be an ignition issue, etc...
