RX-8 TSB's TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS Discussion Thread
I moved all of the discussion about TSBs and about the TSB thread into its own thread. The original ASH TSB thread is locked to keep it clean and easy to read through- zoom44
Can you zip these all up into one file and offer that?

Wow. Thanks for taking the time to post all of these. More so for renaming each from what was a non-descriptive numerical filename. I had a bunch of those saved, but it took all of 4 minutes to save all of these (except for the AT, Nav, and Sirius-related ones).

Fantastic. I downloaded them all when I found the direct link to the pdf archive, then got partway through correlating file names with titles. You put a LOT of work into this. Thank you!
FWIW, the ones in the pdf archive that are not on your list are all ones that have been updated...you've got the updates.

Nicely done Ash!
I use that particular dealership's website all the time to link these so I hadn't even noticed they were removed. (I have them bookmarked)
I just checked and you're RIGHT, the link has been removed. MNAO is probably tired of them displaying the TSB's.
thanks for uploading them here.

I think it is pretty obvious Mazda has told them to stop posting.
I know from my end TSB are something NEVER to be made available to the masses.
Dealer eyes only..

There are more than enough posts here that go something like "My b to b runs out next month. I'm going to print out all the TSBs, go to the dealer, and demand that they be done."
Fortunately, that crowd had not spoiled things when I went to my dealer with a copy of MSP16 and asked if it had been done to my car. It hadn't, the service advisor was familiar with it, and he recommended that it be done.
Information is always good. Knowledge replaces fear.

loss of TSB
Nice work ASH8!!
I too noticed that Rosenthal Mazda had deleted the TSB section from their site, so I called them and asked why. Their response was that they are setting up a new computer system that will link all of their many dealerships together, which may take a few months, after which I was told that they expect to resume the TSBs.
TSBs are honored at no charge only during the warranty period (in spite of the fact that the problem is there from the beginnoing of the model run as depicted by the serial number of your car) and may be honored at the discretion of your dealer and Mazda at no cost to you after the warranty period. Sounds strange I know, but that's my understanding.
If all else fails, you can go to the US government website that records all TSBs.
http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/pr.../tsbsearch.cfm
The TSBs are listed, but you will have to pay for the full description of it.
hey nycgps... i see you're up to post 12,246!

TSB's are to communicate to retail Dealers an issue of repair due to either a defective part or a fix for the defective part and or a repair method on a car, or to rectify a mechanical issue or event which is always superseded later in a models production cycle.
I'd like to see one of the "I'm going to demand that all of the TSBs be done" crowd walk into a dealer with that last one.

Shhhhhhhh.......I just checked the infamous site(not using browser history) and the Miata and MX5 bulletins are back up. Maybe there is some hope after all and we'll get them back so we will know when there are new ones?
