RPM unstable

Hi guys , where my 8 is right now its pretty damn hot , like 50 degrees celcius.

whenever i turn the aircon on the rpm needle gets a tiny bit unstable . it doesnt bounce around or but sometime goes half way from 0-1k

i was wondering if there is a compression issue? should i get the engine compression tested?

it is also unstable when the aircon is off but not as much when its on.

50 C in Norway?? I'm thinking it's not compression unless it's also having hot-start problems. More likely coils/plugs. What's your Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) from the OBDII getting to? (The gauge on the dash is useless). ~110+ C runs the danger of blowing a water seal which requires a complete teardown to fix.

its normal for it to fluxuate a tiny bit as the fans kick on and off. a/c is quite a load on the electrical system

This is interesting. When sitting at idle, the fan kicks on and my car rumbles slightly for a couple seconds, then the fan kicks off and it goes back to being steady. It's only a slight rumble but, I'm curious if this is normal? Should my fan be kicking on and off randomly? This happens even with the AC off.

Sorry i'll stop hijacking your thread.
