Reset alarm

Ive been out sick for the last week and let my brother use my car and when i got ready for work today my car wouldn't start and Ive checked just about everything that it could be and it came down to my brother triggering the alarm somehow and stopping the car from starting up..... does anyone know the correct way of resetting the factory alarm? Don't feel like paying some guy $80 to do it for me and tried searching the forums and really didn't get anywhere.

Let me get this straight..... you searched the forums for "car not starting" and didn't get anywhere?
Come on now... NONE of your results mentioned flooding?

And you mentioned checking "just about everything", what have you checked so far?
Once we know what you've done so far, we can tell you what steps you've missed.

Ive jumpstarted my car, got a new battery, checked my starter, spark plugs, and checked if its flooded and its none of those..... had the guy come today to reset and he says its an electrical problem and he has no clue how to fix it..... and ya ive searched for over 2 hours and really no help. The car is a 04 with 38k miles on it.

Have you actually been able to jump start it, or just attempted and failed?

If the later and if you've truly ruled out all the typical non-start variables, have you checked the IG (no. 19; 30A), IG Key (no. 20; 15A) and Engine (no. 28; 15A) fuses in the underhood panel are good? That's the only "electrical reset" of which I'm aware. Also of course the main numero uno 120A fuse, but a fault there's very rare.

This is the sneaky one right? Kinda on the side? I was helping a girl one time where her brother hooked up the battery backwards and it took that fuse out!
