Unhappy Radiator Light after storage while driving

Got my car out of storage and on the way home the radiator light came on so I push the clutch pedal in to pull over then the light went off. It was a constant light for about 10 sec. It came on about 3 times in 30 min. but each time I pressed the clutch it went off. I'm gonna check the coolant level tomorrow, because the car is warm from the drive and I don't want to fill it up with cold coolant and a warm engine. So what I want to know is, is this a cause for major concern or has this happened to anyone else? any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Was it low on coolant? If so, that will do it.
What year is the car? There was a known issue of sensor failure on the fill tank on earlier cars. If the antifreeze level is correct this may be you.
Were you holding it at a high rpm? The stock pump cant' keep up over 7k rpm. Won't hurt a thing if your simply running out the gears to redline, but if you keep the rpm above 7k for long enough it the light may come on because it's to hot.

i got an '04 6speed rx8 and having this issue, as far as i can tell its not leaking and is not low in coolant.
Mazda came up with nothing during diagnostics but said it might be a faulty sensor, so just waiting on this getting replaced and hopefully that cures it. other than that im outta ideas.
