Hello, I just bought 2004 rx-8 yesterday. I only notice the light was on while driving it back home. I've research here on previous threads hoping to get a solution to it. But most owners say the lights goes on couple mins and turns off, or either when they are driving at a certain speed.
My problem is totally different. It remains "ON" as soon as I start the engine, I haven't even driven it yet. It does not blink, just steady on lights.
Funny, some members here says to unplug sensor if it bothers me. But I am hoping to find answers here.
I will appreciate anyone's diagnostics, comments or advice.

 

If you read those threads you would have found out that you can only make the light go away by unplugging the sensor or replacing the coolant reservoir.

I still vote for either pulling the plug or enjoying the light. Constant light is not nearly as much fun, though, as when the light comes on and off at random times. Enjoyment also varies on whether you think the light looks like a radiator, a Rolls Royce grille, or a merry-go-round.
