Quick question

Hi-

I've read through a lot of the old posts and I still don't see anything of this sort. I bought my '04 used and have no idea what reflashes have been done (other than the ones I got done). Can I just ask the mechanic to look it up?

Sorry for the dumb question. I'm going in on Monday with a list of things that I've noticed with my car, and want to make sure that all the past flashes have been done so that my car is up to date, and I don't want them to give me an excuse like "Well theres no way we could check that". This dealership is a pain in my ***. Thanks in advance.

well, if you have the latest flash, past flashes will have no bearing on the operation of the car, as the current flash in the vehicle supercedes, overrides, and removes all previous flashes. have no worries.

also, the dealership most likely will only be able to view any recalls that were done on the vehicle, and work that was done at that particular dealership.

As I understand it there are reflashes for various things on the car.

I'm confused.

I believe that the current PCM update has all the changes, fixes, etc. contained in previous updates. So it would make no sense to go back to a previous update.
