So I just got a call from the shop that they can not reduce negative camber on the left rear under -1.4 degrees!?

I asked them to mach the max negative front camber which in my case is -1.1.

So do I need new camber adjustment or what?

Any tips suggestions?

 

If the adjusting bolt/cam is seized that could be an issue....either that or the camber arm or some of the other links are bent.......Has it ever slid into a curb or anything?

Is the car lowered?

 

I could only get my rears down to - 1.65, and it was the left rear while the right rear would go down to - 1.50, so I told them to even them at -1.65.

I believe the shocks were shot early on, since the height was 13.5 inches (center hub to fender).

That allows the geometry to camber out which is what it was designed for at that lower level.

In other words that's the minimum neg camber it will give or needs.

Set it there, and it you want less neg camber put some good shock on it, and it will rise up and be less neg camber.

 

Car is on stock suspension, did have accident where some wheels were bent, but arms look ok.

I took picture of the alignment washers position and looks like the washer is maxed out( left) one. Bolt is not seized.

Is the camber adjustment washer position on the left side currently set to give the minimum possible negative camber?

What do you guys think?

 

I would have a careful look at your rear suspension components, and ride height... that is quite a difference in cam position....

 

ride height is close, left side is 2/8" lower (at 27" 1/8 form the ground) than the right side.

to me it looks like this position would give you the minimum possible camber...

 

That's minimum. The way it is set it makes the lower arm shorter...so less negative camber
