Problems
Guys , I have a rx-8 2005 The ck engine light is on and blinks. Computer said is the shaft position sensor . I replaced it and didnt fix it. Also I replaced spark plugs. I put them the way the part store told me to ( T on T and L on L ) but they weren't like they said.

Turning the car does NOT mean starting it, just turn the key to on!
It should sweep to the right and then back to the left. If it does not, then turn it off, wait a few seconds and turn it back and try it again!
Better get those plugs right and in the right position!

Kingaaron Thanks, the picture u send is so different that the auto part one . They wrote in each box were each spark plug goes to but they are wrong ( auto zone ). I even replaced the wires. Now if I put spark plug wrong it make the light comes on ?

If those plugs are NOT in like his picture, then get them out immediately and DO NOT try and start the car!
You can do damage to the rotors because one set is longer than the other and can really be bad if in the wrong position!
Get them in the right position, and make sure they go to the right coils.
Then since you did change the ESS.........do the brake stomp reset as described above. Then and only then you are ready to try and start the car.
Do you have any way to get a picture of what the auto parts store told you about where they go and put it in this thread? If no, then forget it, but I'd like to see what they told you...........becuase it sounds very, very wrong!
