Problem when the AC is on

Hello

I have a 2005 RX8 with an automatic transmission. The car run like a champ, but when the AC is on for a while, the car loses power. The engine keeps running, but when I give it gas, it bogs down. I just need to turn off the AC and the car and start the car again and the problem dissapears.

Thanks for any response. It's greatly appreciated.

Good call on that one nycgps.how the heck did you come up with that as a possible solution, I would agree if the coolant was really low, but just flushing it would never have occurred to me
Wilson, great to see you fixed it, maybe invest in a temp gauge.

common sense, unlike freaks like me(I did coolant change 3 times a year once to see how it effects the engine temp)

most car owner NEVER flush their coolant UNTIL their radiator blows up. and LOTs of time overheating is old/crap/expired/etc coolant related. I did a coolant/water pump change for one of the member here once, his coolant came out like ... complete crap, it looks black and polluted, he said his car overheating left & right, after I did a complete drain including the short block drain, car runs like champ never overheats.

As for Wilson, I assume you just drain the radiator, if that's really what you did, you still have about 1/2~1/3 of crap old coolant in your system. but you should be good for now, do another rad drain next year. ur car will thank you.
