Problem restarting while decarbing with WD40 and water

Well I was decarbing according to the link below about 30 mins ago, I was in the middle of the process and the car turned off. I tried restarting but it just wont. Any advice is greatly appreciated, hope I haven't messed up too bad!

Pull the plugs ..they are likely wet

dry them off...and give each rotor a squirt of ATF or motor oil...crank for a few sec to clear out the crap....re-install the plugs and you should be good to go

I've seen plenty of RX7 guys use water to clean their motors but what's the point of the WD-40?
something to do with the fact that it's flamable? lubricant?

seems like it's too diluted to do much.
I think I'll just stick to seafoam

Yepper skipper!

Real easy to flood the car with water.

Have to go real slow.....

Don't forget to drive the car for a good half hour after the procedure.

Changing oil the next day is recomemnded too.

Thanks to all of you and bse50. Well, read the DIY sparkplugs. Just got back from buying the plugs just in case, a good hydraulic jack, long extension, anti seize, and wriggle socket. Discount Auto Parts has the plugs for a very reasonable $20 each compared to what I've seen elsewhere. Also, to avoid this mess again, got myself some Seafoam. Last question, should I change the plugs now or after the Seafoam? My coils have around 20-25K miles, should I change them. The drying of the plugs will do me well to get to know my car better and get more confidence to continue doing stuff myself. I've already given my dealer over $3K for non-critical stuff, well except maybe motor mounts who I understand are a pain but not worth what the dealer charged. This website is a lifesaver.

if you did the water / wd-40 treatment, you won't need seaforam.
did it stall on the 1st or 2nd rotor or afterwards?
look at the plugs: brown is okay, black is bad.

the ignition coils are hit or miss, you can test them with a volt meter but unless you're seeing misfires you might be okay with the ones you have.

If you can get it running...Seafoam it before you change the plugs.......

Oil change is a good idea as well like Razz suggested...

Well Jedi54, I only got to clean the 1st rotor so I guess it's partially clean. Will Seafoam it.

dannobre, last night I ordered 5 gallons of Royal Purple 5w-30, filter 4 pack and pre-mix from Isanobi (sp?) from rx7.com so I'll change the oil next weekend, although I will probably put 400 miles this week. Can I wait or change the oil ASAP? Ah 2 things: oil is conventional high mileage 5w-30 if it makes any difference; and also what's the best way to clean the spark plugs so I can use them 1 more week so I can do the seafoam and also change the oil?

THANKS TO ALL OF YOU, spent 4 hours taking out the plugs, cleaning them and getting the gunk out of the engine, then drove hard for 20 mins and the car is good again. I was stupid and brought this to myself but learned a lot about my wonderful car, including how ridiculously hard it is to unplug the damn eccentric shaft sensor line, since I did it I put some connector cleaner in it. The DIY for spark plugs rules. Now I beg you for the last piece of advice so I can move on:

1) My idle is still rough, but I think because I actually broke one of the plugs (just a little of the ceramic top) and since I'm changing them next week when I get all the stuff I ordered I used a little exposy to glue it together for 1 week. Any problems with that? I didn't get any misfire or any CELs driving the car hard.

2) Oil change. Can I put 400-500 miles this week on the car with my current oil since I'm changing it next week? Please let me know ASAP since tomorrow I'm putting 100 miles on the car.

3) No more cleaning with water and WD40. Seafoam at Walmart is $9. Not worth going through this again!

So next week: Premix, new Royal Purple oil and equivalent Mazda OEM filters, and Seafoam. Done paying the car in March so it needs to last after all the time and effort invested! Good thing I have a bunch of new tools to do it

Thanks again, I hope I can soon contribute to the forum as most of the users here who take time to help out. If it helps, Amazon has 5 gallons of RP 5w-30 for $120 and free shipping if you have Amazon Prime.

Cheers!
