problem idleing with my 05 auto rx-8

problem idleing with my 05 auto rx-8

hi every i just want to know what i should do and what could be the problem with my car last night i was driveing the rx-8 back from work and the petrol tank was on then thi morning i try start up the car it starts but my idle is not stable and the car moves alot shakes then stops so i thort i could be no petrol so i went in brought 4L of petrol so i can just make it to the closed petrol station but it still the same what should i do i know i should take it to the dealer but i just want to know what could be the problem and my car has done 13000km and i change the spark leads at 7000Km
and there was no powerloss problem at all the car was runing fine yesturday

Lots of threads on this problem with the A/T... seems like Mazda got a big headache on its hands.

could be all sorts fo things including a clogged fuel filter from low fuel or a bad fuel pump causing low pressure. you should get i to a dealer and have them find the fault. if there is a cel light get eh code. we can help furthur after we have a little more info.

thanks man i my car want even start today lol i am pretty annoyed and mad ay i hope it not to much of a problem they are going to have a look in few days

Good luck with your problem. My RX8 has been out of action for over 50 days and on its third engine. The technician said the problem the first time was the oil metering pump. He said for some reason the auto RX8's have a problem with them.

Do a search and you will find alot of information on the subject.

i went the dealer on friday after noon and today they said the problem is my spark plug but i just changed my spark plug at 8600k and it only done 4000k for that i will tell you guys what happend when i get my car back tomorow
