I took a video that has audio of a strange sound I am getting from my rear passenger side wheel. I was told when I bought the car about a month ago that the back brakes were low and would need to be replaced asap. I have ordered a set of rear hawks, but if you guys could listen and tell me what you think, I would really appreciate it.

I would check the brake heat shield. The metal piece behind the rotor Sounds like it might be rubbing on the rotor a little bit. Have you had the tires changed on that side lately?

 

I have not had the tires changes. Currently the tread covers Washington's head on the quarter, so I think I'm fine for a bit longer.

When I look at the DIY rear brake pad thread, do you know which step shows the brake heat shield you refer to?
