Popping noise from front left suspension during low speed quick transition
you guys aren't just in left field you're out of the ballpark across town, you CAN NOT fix a shock this way, nor should you put grease in there because it will only cause sand and dirt to build up cause more damage
if the shock is making noise it is damaged internally, the OE shocks are not rebuildable, the only course of action is to replace it

I just started to hear the same noise this month - weird. Driver's side front area. Everything looks tight also. This might be something different since I'm running FunctionX coilovers. Maybe the motor mount?
team rx8 is right...........if u try puttin grease on a strut or shock thats leakin........would u try n put a bandaid if u like had ur arm almost completely cut off.........no point its not worth it, spend the money n get new parts......also for the guy that started the thread with the problem, r u havin uneven tire wear, if one part of ur tires on the front wears out quicker then another part of ur front tires, it might be a steering issue, maybe a bad tie rod........ or an idler arm has gone bad........dunno for sure but puttin in my $0.02
