Please - if you are using Line-level conversions for Audio...help me out

re: https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...hlight=display

My display has been acting up - so I brought it in to the dealer today. His phone call a few minutes ago:

"Our tech called in and they said since you have aftermarket audio, that's the cause of the problem with your radio."

To which I replied, "It's not a 'radio' problem, it's a display problem. The Radio doesn't know an amp is hooked up - it's sending out it signals same as ever, but instead of going to speakers, the radio inputs to a little box, which then goes into the amp."

Anywho, he stonewalling me a bit - thus..if I could get some ppl who'd committ to saying "I have Line-level adapters used in aftermarket audio, and my display is fine", I'd appreciate it VERY MUCH...

Maybe name and last couple digits of VIN, or something, so the guy doesn't think I made you all up. :D

Or just name, whatever...anything I can show to prove my case that the aftermarket audio (ONE amp) is not the cause.

thanks much.

I had the same problem, they bent or crimped a pin on the connector from the display to the Head unit, I had a shop install the AMP and line level conditioner and when the display went haywire they took it to the stealership and they fixed it and I got free labor on my install to comp me, sweet deal and they made a sub box for free too, cannot complain, I only had to buy the line conditioner at discount too....... good ole Ultimate Electronics aka Sound Crack, too bad they are going under
