Quick fix will be to zip tie the coil down to the bracket. Vibration isn't an immediate killer, though you will want to grab a new bracket sooner rather than later.

I always tell people, having a bag of assorted size zip-ties is a lifesaver sometimes. Good luck.

As long as the coilpack and still sit flush on the bracket while zip-tied down you should be fine as a temporary fix.

How can I get the rest of that piece out though? And This is after taking everything back off when the first time I put everything back and it wouldn't fire just kept turning like I was out of gas. Any reason for that?

I think that bolt is welded to the bracket, so you will have to replace the bracket.

You probably left something unplugged if it's not starting, probably a ground?

I unplugged the battery, 2 harnesses to the air filter box and the harnesses to the coils, all plugged back in, anything missing? I might get flamed for buying off ebay, seen no negative feed back for these after 30 or so purchased, could they be wrong? and there is no way going around a new bracket for right now? no other way?

Even If I gotta super glue the damn thing on, I'll just buy a coil and a bracket. I just need something that will work

Zip tie is the way around the "new bracket" problem You might be able to drill out the bolt that is there, thread the hole and screw in a new bolt. But it would take lots of care to get it exactly right. Easier to just get a new bracket.

There is negative feedback from Ebay coils, looking like at least one of the people selling them on ebay is selling counterfeit coils. https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-discuss...2/#post4503777

Coming to light over the last several days.

I seen the post for those coils and was sure to steer clear, I went to that one it says 21 sold and I looked through the negative feedback and neutral last 30 days and verified that none were for the same coils I bought or for RX8 not even one. If I were to very carefully superlue the edge or something could that possibly work? I have no time to get a new bracket right now.

I gather that since you are avoiding even a comment on the zip tie solution, you don't have any of those? I recommend against using glue.

A) You don't know what the engine heat will do to the glue's ability to hold (usually heat cripples glue and unbonds it),

and B) if it does hold, you have a real problem on your hands later.

I can go get zip ties I just dont know where I could put them. There isn't enough power in the drill and I don't know where the charger would be and if there even is one anymore If so I have no idea where, If I can zip tie anywhere else other then through the hole I'm not against it lol but If I were to glue around the remainder of the bolt and get it to hold and keep an eye on it would that possibly work, and if it does hold what problems would there be? Just wondering, I mean I know I'd have to get a bracket and one new coil soon but will it mess anything else up?

Run zip ties together to create a bigger loop if you have to. You don't even need to hold it in the exact location as long as you aren't stressing any of the wires (plug wire or harness wires), and it's not flapping around.
