PLEASE Help so I don't get "juiced" from the dealer. Is the Input Speed Sensor ON the transmission or is it IN the transmission? 2004 Automatic

Thank You.

Which speed sensor; DSC or anti-lock brakes?

Not sure. The code came up and the dealership says I need a transmission flush but I googled that code and it mentioned a speed sensor in/on the transmission.

My problem, randomly my AT light is coming on and the car won't shift. The light will go off and not come one for days then will come on again. I started having some electrial weirdness after the dealership put in the 3rd motor.

Do you have your owners manual? What is the scheduled mileage for a trans fluid change? How many miles are on the car?

Did you happen to see the meteorite that landed northwest of you a few days ago?

There are 102k miles on it, no idea when/if it has ever been changed. I've had the car less than 2 years with nothing but problems. Unfortunate because I love it but it's been a money pit.

Do you think that dirty fluid would cause the light to come on randomly? It shifts fine when that light isn't on. The light is off more than it's on.

No meteorite sighting... 8(

Flushing the transmission wouldn't hurt.
