No ignition on front rotor

Ok so been having a little trouble recently basically I had a rebuild recently and ever since im having starting issues from cold its not each time but what happens is I start her up but the front rotor isnt kicking in she sounds lumpy and low on power and occasional I get a cel saying front rotor misfire, the thing is if I let her tick over for a minute she eventually comes to life and is good as gold runs fine which doesn't help cos I drive to the garage and I cant demonstrate the issue cos she is nice and hot.
Now they said it could be 1 of 3 things plugs leads or coils now since the rebuild they have put the cooler RE8C-L leading plugs in and ive always run the hotter 7's to prevent flooding (which I suffered tonight urgh) as for leads and coils I have the very nice BHR kit and have contacted Charles who is more then happy to have them back to test but I was hoping it wouldnt come to that and that someone may have had this before and knew a solution or the issue atleast.
Id appreciate any advice im planning to change the plugs in hope that its that.
Oh and should mention the engine is also ported.

probably a bad trailing coil, there have been some faulty ones, but you can check it yourself

If its in the first five minutes of start wouldnt that mean its an issue with the leading plug/coil

the car idles primarily on the trailing coils, testing them per the DIY is your only solution to figuring out if the coils are working properly or not, otherwise you can feel free to talk about it all you want

Swap the coils on the front to the rear, is the issue now on the rear?

Changed the plugs yesterday and it seems it may have resolved the problem she has fired up twice from cold with no probs at all so will have to see but it looks like it may have been a bad plug

been a while but the problem came back after a week or so on the new plugs ive now ripped the BHR kit out and fitted some OEM coils in and the issue has gone so its down to the kit ive tested continuity across all the coils and they seem ok but im not convinced. Ive contacted BHR for some further advice but I suspect il just buy a new set of coils but what do I get in the way of brands ive had a look on ebay and being from the UK none of the brands mean anything so i dont know which are decent and which arnt.

Before buying new coils, swap the coils front/rear; does the issue follow the coil or stay on the front rotor?

Did you ever try the coil tester?

..At least that way you will have an idea where to look. You could have a wiring issue...or an ECU issue...or just bad luck with the same coil or plug failing twice...but you are just guessing if you don't know what is firing properly

...you could have an injector/fueling issue as well....

So spend the $20 and buy a tester....check it out and get back to us
