ok so i dont know why but when i am driving my senser for a open door starts going off. the light on the dash starts to blink, inside lights turn on and there is a clicking sound from around the glove box. does anyone know why this might be happening?

 

Yeah, it thinks your door is open!

Guess I would start by looking at the door latch mechanism. Open the front door and remove the two screws on the rear door that hold it in place. Actually, make sure those screws are tight as I think the outside of it is ground and needs to make good contact with the frame of the door. Anyway, I would remove it and take a look. There isn't a lot of wire length on these, but pull it out and make sure the connections look okay. If after putting it back in that doesn't do it, then you may have to buy a new one? Think I've seen them for like $6.00 or so.

 

ok thanks. i will try that. i just found it odd because it would do it for about 10-15 seconds then stop then a while later it would do the same thing

 

ok so here is a little more info. when i came to my car the otherday the radio didnt work and i found that the fuse was blown for it which was also making my power locks not work. i replaced the fuse and that is when this started happening. it blew that fuse within the next day. i have not had a chance to check the senser but if the wires look good on it is there any way to know if it is bad or not? also is there anything else that might be causeing this?

 

more info about your car- what has been changed from stock?

 

all stock other than a k&n intake. i changed the plugs and coils on it a couple days ago and put a stright mid pipe on it because i was getting a miss fire code but i changed all that the day after i started to have the problem. also if i dont pull the fuse my alarm will start to go off because at some point the car seems to think the door is open
