As a side note, make sure you seal up all those cocked up wires. Crap like that starts to corrode and you are in for some fun.

didn't know they have this kind of stupid lock for UK spec Rx-8 (or any UK cars)

gotta love those super naive tree huggers. like that stupid bracket can actually stop anybody? shhesh. not to mention you don't even need to open the ECU cover to modify the ECU. just another example of how stupid these tree huggers can be.

Anyway I think you can buy a used US spec ECU box and everything will fit perfectly.

Engine Harness u can get a used one, it should be the same (6sp version)

Funny you mentioned that... I read in BBC's Top Gear magazine that they banned the sale of the rx8 there due to it not meeting euro V emissions. Even the Swindon-made (UK) Civic Type R hatch has been canned in their own country but will continue being made in that plant for non-EU countries. Oh, the irony!
