Question Oil pooling btwn intake runners

Oil is slowly pooling on intake manifold between the runners. There appears to be an injector of some sort on intake above oil puddle. Oil is also lightly sprayed on wiring harnesses behind alternator. I can see the external oil lines across top of engine block, they do not appear to be leaking in that area. Is this injector (just below 2 vaccume diaphrams) on intake for oil? Any ideas where oil is coming from? Any help is welcome.

I'm working on the photos. The leak isn't bad. I'm just curious where the oil is coming from. I cleaned up the oil last July/Aug and thought it was some how spilled there. So it has been several months for it to accumulate to where I could smell it when the engine was hot. I'll post pics this weekend when I have some time off work. Thanks

OK, I have some pics. But I've no idea how to post them. They're on my computer not a website. I'll search for a way to upload.

Sounds like a broken Oil Metering line.

Thanks, this is where the oil leak is, the oil seems to mist and eventually pool between the intake runners. I can see what looks like a banjo type fitting w/ an external oil line nearby and that maybe the cause.

What did you find the problem to be? I have oil pooling on top of the lower engine between those runners. I also have a slight ticking knocking sound like a stuck lifter or the such. Car drives fine....just makes a noise. Cranks right up, etc. About to investigate the problem this week.

It's probably spilled oil during the refill phase of an oil change.

The ticking sound is probably the SSV or VDI actuators.

The leak on my car is from an oil nozzle. There is a gouge on the machined surface where the nozzle seats to the engine. I filled the gouge with epoxy and the leak has slowed but is still there. Check your oil lines to the nozzles for cracks as they get brittle over time.
