MN Oil leaking everywhere

Ok it's 93 degrees here in Minnesota and I'm on the highway going the speed limit 65. So as I'm getting close to my house on the on ramp I see smoke coming out my hood so I'm only 2 blocks away. I Didn't feel like I was losing power so I ran it home and white smoke was everywhere oil leaking like crazy everything looks tight I just put a new clutch in about 2500 miles ago no problems. Its leakig right about where the shifter is and sprayed all back. I dont gave the Ability to smell so I can't tell if it is sweet or not. I guessing the cat but win my luck it's the apex seals.

Thanks in advanced

Could be the return oil line that connects to the oil filter housing, could be the oil pressure sending unit which is above the spark plugs, could be a cracked oil filler tube, could be a missing dipstick.

If source is not readily obvious when you get it up in the air, you may have to clean all surfaces and run the motor to pinpoint the source.

One other place to look - the lines to/from the oil cooler(s). Since you were moving along at a good clip when the leak became apparent, it could be blowing back from there too. Age of your 8 plus your location in the snow belt is another telltale to this also being a possibility. If it is the oil cooler lines, check out threads on this forum for different ways to approach repair/replacement.

Tranny gear oil has distinctive smell, you should be able to tell if it is tranny fluid. If you are taking it out for the fourth time maybe you should take it to a qualified mechanic.
