Oil leak right behind the oil pan it looks like. It leaks about a 2 inch dot every time i park it. Oil is all over the crossbar underneath. Suggestions?

 

Leaking oil pan (pretty easy fix), leaking rear main seal (pain in the ***), leaking oil filter plate (easy fix), etc.

 

So I'm guessing if it's the rear main seal I'll have to drop the engine? I don't think it's the oil filter plate, could be the oil pan (what I'm hoping it is).

 

Take a look around the oil filter area. Especially right below it. Around the oil pressure sensor, oil cooler line connection. If it's not leaking in that area check the rear main seal by pulling out the starter and looking into the bellhousing for any signs of oil.

 

if theres too much oil mess to see exactly what is leaking just clean it off with a can of brake cleaner and lets it run for 5 minutes then look again

 

having the same problem just last week seal the oil pan still having the same oil leak going to clean the oil filter pipe and oil line to see if there but if the leaking is in the rear main seal. Is official RX8 are fun but too much problem even for me a automotive technician.
