i am trying to get some ideas of what would make oil come out of my exhaust, its not just a little bit its actually dripping. i am going to take it to the shop but i just want some ideas before i go. please help.

 

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say a busted seal somewhere internally in the motor. I could be wrong but that was the first thing that came to my mind.

 

I can't think of anything they'd not major engine issues... I presume you haven't recently overfilled the oil?

Take a look inside the intake and see if there's any oil in there.

 

The question is going to be first: are you sure it's oil? Is it thick? Thin and watery?

Gas and water condensation drips out of my tailpipes all the time.

If it's coolant and/or oil, actual motor oil, then you almost certainly have a failed oil ring and/or coolant seal, which is commonly from localized overheating that warped a housing.
