SC O.K. Have been searching for 4 days.

I Have a 2004 GT M.T. I bought a ss clutch line and the clutch reinforcement bracket and installed them at the same time.
Since then it seems that my clutch is slipping or something. Before, when I fully released the clutch and hit the gas, the car would go into gear and take off. Now it seems that the gears are not fully engaging when I release the clutch. I tried adjusting the pedal play and the piston that goes into the cylinder but nothing seems to help. I bled the clutch using speedbleeder after I installed the line.
Does anyone have any feedback? other than "use the search"? I have already tried this.
Maybe I did something wrong?..... Impossible!

Are you saying when you select a gear,it is not engaging, or, when in gear and you accelerate, the clutch is slipping, can you smell an unpleasant odor when this happens?It is an 04 ,maybe coincidently , your clutch needs replacing, how many miles on it ?

Do you think that if the clutch bracket wasn't tightened to the firewall and cylinder enough it could cause this?
I don't get it. It was a simple install...

50,000 miles on it. Zero burning clutch smell. It goes into gear, but seems as if the clutch is slipping.
But it didn't do this before I added the line and bracket.. I guess I screwed up an easy install somehow

Is it possible to put it in the air or on ramps and get under to see if there is freeplay between the slave cylinder pushrod and the clutch fork, I too have an 04 6mt, and at around 80k kilometers the clutch started slipping.

It is the piece that protrudes from the trans bellhousing, it should have a rubber boot to keep crap out, the slave cylinder mounts on top to the left side of the housing, there is a rod from the slave cylinder that pushes the clutch fork, grab the fork and try to move it front to back or vice versa, it has to have about 1/2 inch movement from memory, if there is no movement, it sounds like you may have preload on the clutch, which would cause the clutch to slip.

I will definately check it. Maybe the reinforcement bracket changed it a little bit. It was a pain to get onto the firewall.

If your clutch is slipping it is either worn on the friction surface or it is not fully releasing. I would look at the reinforcement bracket installation. Readjust clutch pedal free play per Mazda specs. And see what happens.

Air in the clutch hyd. system would cause a partial engagement of the clutch slave cyl. Not the symptoms described. It would give the scenario of not being able to get the car into gear. So you can rule air in the system out.

Okay...I'll bite.............what clutch re-enforcement bracket?

This is a pure guess but..........

Reason I ask is that there were some updated instructions(I think), and I'm wondering if you got them and where you got this bracket from.........individual or Brice at RR?

BTW...............couldn't you just remove the bracket enough to see if that helps? It's just a thought, I don't really know.
Mine is still sitting in the garage and I've yet to install it!

I ordered and received it within the past 2 weeks so I'm guessing that the instructions are pretty recent.
I'm going to try and readjust pedal play before I start removing things.
The only thing that I didn't do as per the instructions is drill that tiny hole because it seems useless to do that.

Problem solved. It was the play in the piston on the pedal. There was no freeplay whatsoever.
I adjusted it out(away from the firewall) To spec, Thanks to FastFreddy61 with the manuals, and everything is good.
