hi just wondering if any one can shed some light on this problem.
2005 231 RX8
UK SPEC
noticed yesterday that hazard lights were not flashing when locking or unlocking the car . Checked the boot and that was ok and car seemed to be locking fine.
checked today in daylight and noticed the passenger side ( uk spec car ) was not operating at all via remote etc.. Tried manually locking the car from the inside then trying the remote fob and car is locked and hazards are flashing to confirm locking and unlocking of car. i had panel off the passenger door and checked all connection's etc and all seemed good

still the same , hazards flash when locked manualy from the inside , and getting nothing via the fob for locking and unlocking

Noticed than if operating the drivers door manually you can hear the mechanism working but nothing on the passenger side

checked fuses

Though the lights in the bottom of the door illuminate when locking and unlocking as normal.

as a member or rx8 owners club suggested "At least the system worked by not flashing the hazards, to show there was something wrong and the car wasn't secure"

checked the workshop service manual and can really see anything related

any help would be much appreciated

Did you get this issue resolved? I'm having the exact same problem with my drivers side door lock.
