a newbee problem
hi,
first time at this forum. i'm from turkey. i bought a new 2007 rx8 231 hp 2 weeks ago. bad luck, it has a problem and the dealer is selling but doesn't know how to repair. my technical english is not good, but i try to explain. when the fuel gauge drops to critical point and red lamp lights, the motor starts something like cutting speed. and speed is limited max 225 km/hour. service says somebody sees 260km/ hour without modification. probably there is a term explaning this
the service thinks a problem originating from cathalytic convertor and decided to change it.
your opinions please. thanks.

O.o? I'm wondering if I'm understanding u correctly because those are some high speeds to be worried about!
225km/h ~ 135mph
260km/h ~ 156mph
I've never had any experience with these speeds in my 8 (dyno or road), and I have an '04. Any1 able 2 help this guy out?

Nothing wrong with any of these. Its fuel starvation like they said, you get it if you pull enough g's when the fuel tank is low. As for the top speed, its just speed limiter for different market. You need not go that fast anyway unless u track.

thanks for your opinions.
i ride motorcycle on hot days and no speed limit on my country's highways like germany., so i prefered rx8; high rev, high speed and low cost like moto except fuel consumption.
as i see no solution for fuel starvation
