New Problem (HELP)

OK so since last week when I go to start my and the temp is 30's or below I have to leave the clutch pressed down for 30sec right affter start or the RPM's will drop and the car will die instead of the rpm's staying at about 2grand. Affter that 30sec the car stays at 2grand and is fine for the rest of the day with no need to do this. This only happens in the morning with temps in the 30's, car starts good with no problems runs good and idles great, no power loss.( I have an 04 75,000mi, new plugs, new coils as of last month and my battrie is a year old. I will post video affter I start it this morning, Thanks for any help you can give

The cause of your symptoms starts with the thickening of your transmission gear oil in cold weather.

However, it would seem that the high rpm at cold startup could handle this load, so it might be that you car has lost some compression over 75k miles.

I'd look toward a dealer compression check for a replacement engine.

O that might be it I use very heavy trans oil. I just finished putting it back to stock I was in fear that I might be losing comp so I was going to take it this weekend and trade it in on an 09 seeing that I do my own oil changes and have not done a good job of holding on to my receipts. But now I think I just need to thin out my trans fluid

Weird. Definitely something sticking due to the cold though, what tranny fluid are you running? Oh well, in a couple of months you won't have to worry about the cold

See, I told you so, but I didn't even believe someone would run straight 140 in a tranny
