so ive read about others second gear problems but i wanna see what the vast knowledge of rx8club says. my car is a 2005. my tranny was rebuilt from the ground up at 25xxx miles. im now at 45,000 miles. i get a grind thats pretty bad anytime i shift above 4k. even sometimes when i shift lower.... my mechanic just changed the fluid to redline. that didnt fixhe says i prolly need a rebuild. i think since its only second gear its the syncros right?

 

Ok so after a few days of having redline tranny fluid in.... It seems my problem has dissapeared. I still have not shifted at 6k+ rpm cuz I'm scerd.... But its much much better. We will see soon if its all good.
