NEED INPUT: electrical Issue hoping to fix over lunch

So, I was pulling into work, and backing into a parking spot when I tried to cut my wheel, but it wouldn't turn. I look down at my gauges, and the lights are dimming, gauges fluttering, etc. Low voltage. Engine bogs terribly when I try to turn the wheel again. Shut the car off, and now I definitely have low voltage, radio, dash, or anything else aside from interior lights do not turn on. So the battery hasn't been charging.

What odd is I was running a bit late this morning so I was driving it fairly hard, and didn't have a single breakup or studder.

Just looking for any other suggestions to check And hopefully a wiring diagram from the alternator to the rest of the car? Things I am looking to check:

- nut holding the cable going to the starter (I did a clutch change a earlier this year, and wondering if I didn't tighten that all the way, if that matters?)
- Ordered a starter from oreilies just across the street, should be here at in time for lunch, if the alternator is bad. But this has a new alternator on it that has less than 2k miles, so I have my doubts. I believe it was a cheaper one off of Amazon though so I can't say I'd be surprised.
- Will also go get my battery tested if I haven't found a solution by then. Shouldn't have caused the issue technically but it is older.
- Anything else?

verify your grounds are all good and well secured. also make sure besides them being tightened that they are cleaned and have good contact as well.

if you have a cell going bad in your battery that could cause similar issues though i would imagine.

i know im late, but just throwing ideas out if it hasnt been resolved yet

Its all good, it ended up being a dead battery. It was stupid simple but it completely fell off a cliff in one day. It was very weird.

Nah just an old duralast battery. Just got an XS Power battery. Really wanted an Antigravity battery (ATX-30HD) but none at Summit Racing. Will get one at a later date.

I was going to take a poke at you for being an engineer there and then seeming to have no clue beyond throwing parts at it but figured it was rough enough for you as it was.

Trust me I was not in the best place to be thinking of all the scenarios, more of just trying to get the car back home so I admit I sounded a bit unsure the day of. All for the laughs though you definitely should have.

And the bad battery was the last thing on my mind, as I am on air ride and need to run up my air tank pressure before I start and pull the car out of the garage. Pumped up just find that morning, so a battery didn't seem logical. But I did have the engine bay half apart, and the trans out not too long ago. Plenty of variables to choose from. Just happy it was an easy fix.
