need help with red key light bypass

Hey guys, I own a 06 Mazda rx-8 and so yesterday I went to go out and it gave me a red key light that is suppose to be green...i have the ake system
And it won't start with the key even or at all. Everything lights up and turns but no start
Unless I take my key in and out over 100 times while pressing the unlock button
And it will start 1 time...FROM MY UNDERSTAND it's expensive to fix this so what I want to know is can I bypass the red key thing and just use my key???
I just spent a load of $ on a paint job and this fix is out of my budget.
A fast reply would be appreciated.
THANKS!!!

It sounds like the immobilizer is triggered, and locking you out. I do not know of any ways to bypass it.

I would try a hard reboot - disconnect the car battery for a minute, then hook it back up.

I know of no fix without access to the dealers WSD computer system.....

i have the ake system as well i dont think mine ever turns green, it just turns red if the keys in the car and its not started, turns off after the start. maybe it could be something else that preventing the car from starting like the clutch switch or something.

another though of it maybe something else is mine wont let me even turn the nub thing if it doesnt "see" the key.

you need to go to a dealer for diagnostic. the key icon doesnt go green. this leads me to believe you've never had the car running yourself which could mean something nefarious might be going on . this thread closed
