Wink My RX-8 wont start - solved (ignition prob.)

Hi, i will explaine how i fixed a problem, when my rx-8 could not start (maybe it will be usefull for someone):

On saturday i was driving home and left my rx-8 by the garage (outside about 0-2 temp. ). Everything worked just fine.
On sunday i moved it into the garage, started very well and no problem. (in garage ~14 temp.)
But on monday evening i wanted to drive and no hope, the rx-8 just wont start. The battery was full and the sound couple of times was like it tries to jump but just can't, it goes to 800 rpm and then again to 0 rpm. After few times it still didn't start.

I had exactly such problem about 3 months ago. But then it just started after many attempts and the first 5 sec. it runed like some cylinder was not working, i know the rotor has no cylinder it just felt so. But after these 5 sec and all these 3 months it worked very well with no issue.

What i have realised that both times, i have left my car outside and the temp. was about 0 C and then quickly i moved it into warm garage, so the engine had not even warmed. Maybe this was the problem or was it the coils?

This time I have checked all spark plugs and all of them were pretty much used. Two top spark plugs were wet and they smelled like gas, maybe it was because, i have tried to start the engine many times. But the bottom spark plugs where burned dark black, so i cleaned them and put them back in the place were they belong :D After fifth start my RX-8 was alive. So the problem was in spark plugs, that was exactly what i wanted to know. So now i will order them, but till then I hope these will last.

I have 2004 RX-8 and 25 000 km (Europe).

Plugs should last 30K miles unless they are raced or flooded a few times. It would not hurt to take them out and have us look at them. Just lable them if you remove them.
