yea i did......at freeway speeds it doesnt work after playing with it for 10min...Ive used it before so i know it used to work...then at street speeds it works....but back on the freeway it doesnt?? dont know how that got to happen
Im having this same problem after having my tranny replaced. Ive taken it back to aamco who did the tranny and they said they didnt do anything....
I talked to a mechanic friend of mine and he suggested maybe there was a speed sensor cable they didnt hook back up right when putting the tranny in. Anyone know about this?

I am having the same problem with my cruise control. It turns on, but will not engage. From what I have read on here, it sounds like it may be the switch itself. I guess it is time to head to the stealer...
If it's a manual transmission It will be the clutch position switch on the clutch pedal or the neutral switch on the transmission.
Either one of them will prevent the cruise control from working.

Also check the reverse switch while your down there checking the neutral switch on the tranny as well. I'm sure that has something to do with the cruise control too.
My problem was the clutch position switch. The previous owner bypassed it with a bare piece of copper wire and took it to ground which did cure the problem temporarily but it failed two years later after I bought the car.
Dumb thing about it was that the car was a leased vehicle.
