Why didn't you just buy the filter? That's kind of the whole point to using the S2 pump module; in addition to it being a better design overall the individual parts can be purchased as needed rather than having to buy a whole new pump module like on the S1.

Well I tried cleaning it just because I wasnt able to get anything within a week. I did get an S2 assembly (lightly used) because it was the fastest way I could get a different filter in my hand. There is only a month left of driving it so I'm trying to get it back on the road asap.

If it has anymore issues, I'll just call it a season, put in a new filter, and take apart and clean everything to the injectors.

EDIT:

Well either way during the offseason I'm going to flush and clean everything that has fuel inside of it

Still working just fine. Best I can figure is the the fine filter/ pump became clogged with whatever that sludge **** was. After putting in your fuel pump and flushing out the filter, it works great.

I wish I knew for sure where that crap came from.

Has to be to do with the premix/additive or the amount of time they were left in the tank ....

ooh-chemistry. What premix + additives + quality of the gas (ethanol content and grade). I'd like to run some benchtop experiments on this.

It’s all been pretty much done over on RX7Club

One of the reasons I’m asking is because if there was nothing wrong with your pump it’d be nice if at some point if I could get mine back as a spare or to help someone else out again in the future
