Nice diagram Darkbrew.

MMMmmmm I can't help but think a Cobb AP would be priceless right now.

Darkbrew - Just great! Thanks for both the link regarding the fuel injectors and the diagram.

I really think I need to dive into the fuel injectors and test them. I will test the vaccum and accuators first.

Have been reading all about the Cobb AP - looks like a great tool. We will see if I can scrap up for a purchase.

Will report back - THANKS!

Check the sound clips and stuff in this thread and see if it's the same or similar. I had a hard time distinguishing from the video but suspect similar based on the pinging/det.

It's the same! When you accelerate do you kinda lose power? like it takes forever to get up to

speed?

TacoMan - please let me know what you find out. I have found a local company that can test and clean my injectors but it would be great to hear what mazda tells you (although unless you get someone who actually knows the car Im not sure how much faith I have in them).

And yes - lose power on acceleration and is slow to move.

I'll let you know when they get back to me. I just dropped it off yesterday so hopefully I will hear

from them in the next couple of days. It's weird that this problem hasn't been solved yet, I have

searched and searched, but nothing came up so hopefully Mazda knows what is going on. If not

:/ dang there goes money out the door ha.

Well I'm getting a new engine ha I guess i had low compression. so i would take it in if i were you

man because chances are you have low compression to and get a free engine also he said to me I

have to pay for the oil injectors which are 400$ for all of them so it's not bad :]

There is an entire thread postulating that some engine failures are due to faulty or clogged oil injectors...
