misfires.
looking for some help
i've owned a 6MT for the last year and a month. since then i've had between 6-9 misfires. the first time the dealership changed the plugs, but they just kept resetting afterwards. i split my time between Victoria/Vancouver, BC.
1. i check the oil meticulously and use Mazda-branded 5w20 oil to top up when necessary. dealership oil changes state they use 5w20 as well.
2. i ONLY buy 92 octane and sometimes 94 octane.
3. 90% city driving; usually to school / work which is each 10 minutes from my apartment. i usually warm up for about a minute; up to 3 or 4 minutes during colder weather.
4. my lifetime mileage per tank is about 240 miles per tank (390 KM). a 'real' tank usually gets me about 199 miles per tank (320 KM). (lifetime includes roadtrips and highway driving which bumps up my average mileage).
5. 2 roadtrips so far. one to california; one to Tofino.
misfires usually occur under heavier acceleration. not all of them were WOT, but most were.
tonight i got another misfire (i have a CAN tool) while driving home from the ferry. [and a minidisc got stuck in my MD slot - unrelated, but when it rains, it pours huh?]
any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Rangers Lead The Way!
I too get occasional misfires. Nothing serious and doesn't really hurt my performance. I chalked it up to my having a turbo installed. Having a misfire from time to time won't really hurt you too much, but may end up giving a CEL for random misfire or knocking.
