Mild Power Loss When Engine Fully Warm
I tried a search, found the same question but no answer I've noticed a small amount of power loss once the engine is fully warm. I never go past 4krpm when cold but in the first ten-15 minutes or so the car seems to have more pick up... once warm or hot in 1st and 2nd around the 4-5krpm there seems to be less power???? Any Ideas greatly appreciated.

17000km??? about 11000miles i think that is. 2004 6spm. engine sounds the same, runs smoothe just no go go in the first 2 gears. only had it 2 weeks but I know what it feels like when coolish and what a roary should feel like around 4-5krpm in second, should be a little bit of something there, if my girlfriend drove it (trying to get her to) no way shed notice, so very minimal. had my coolant light come on cos of a crack in the tank the day I got it, level was low but light only on when on a hill, dealer bled the lines replaced etc... you think this could have caused any real problems?

Got Another Rotary
The rotary is notorious for "heat soak".
When run a while, especially in hot climates, the engine and engine bay will get very hot and will just loose some of it's power - the rotary likes to run cooler and have cool air days for max HP.
To help keep heat soal to a minimum:
- Add Mazsport cooling fan mod
- Vent hood or remove heatstrip to let heat escape in cowl area (DIY)
- Perform Throttle Body coolant bypass (DIY)
I have performed all three of these on mine and it has pretty much eliminated any heat soak symptoms for me - of course I am stock with no FI.

Cool, will give the bypass a go, I read that thread you started a few days ago Old Rotor but cos it hasn't been that hot (83 last few weeks) and cos it hapened so quickly after warm up, I didn't think of it as an answer... Cant hurt though, so Ill give it a try... Sydney minimun temp is about 60 during the day in winter, so it should be ok but for a few weeks a year. Thanks EVERYONE, will let you know how it goes. Don't know about the US, but here mid is only a couple of cents more than reg, may sound stupid, but is there any benefits apart from the $$$$ in running on reg?
