Map light LED's

Does anybody know of the best place to buy good quality led's for the map lights. I have some in it now and they suck, the lights flicker when you touch the housing and it's hard to get them to come on in the first place .

i got mine from v-leds and they've been great, the 13 bulb white 5000k, very bright, can't even look into them directly. only downside is that when you turn them off, instead of slowly dimming like normal bulbs, they flicker off, but its a quick flicker and hard to even notice

i got mine from rotaryfx. had them for about 2 yrs no problem, cant recomend their LED parking lights though, they only lasted 3-4 months for all the individual LEDs to fail.

ok so apparently my whole entire map light bezel is bad or has a short. i can not get it to stop cutting on and off, it happens whenever you touch it , sometimes i will get in the car at night and only one of them will be on. This is annoying, anyone know where i can buy the black connection piece thats inside the map light piece? i think the plastic pieces arent making a good connection or something. i tried switching bulbs and that didnt work either

It may not be the LEDs, did you check the contact points of the bulb holders? Sometimes, the locking points break causing it to become loose, thus not turn on most of the time.

i do believe the locking point on the one bulb holder is rounded out to where it doesnt lock as tightly as it should , but idk what else to do with this thing to try and fix it, i just think the bulb holder points are to worn out to make good contact anymore, i tried prying the contacts on the bulb holders up more so that they wouldnt have to be as tightly screwed in but that didnt help either

I use LEDs as well and have broken one edge of the bulb holder. Remove the dome then press on it from the inside. If that's the problem, use Elmer's glue so if it needs to be replaced, it won't damage the housing.

i dont understand what you mean by that ^ .. it seems like there is a short somewhere inside the black plastic thing thats inside the dome light. whenever you touch it both the lights flickers, and whenever i have the dome light in the roof and push up on it a little and both lights flickers, i just thing there is something wrong with the circuit board itself

It's loose! That's why it's not making a connection. You need to twisted the holder to lock and glued it with Elmer's glue(not super glue) to secure it.
