Ok guys, I just bought an 04 RX8 last week, I started noticing that when I'm parked and if the clutch is not pressed, I can hear this weird noise, like a rattle noise or something grinding and as soon as I press it is gone, the same noise comes on when I'm driving, as soon as I shift gears it comes on, it only sounds when the clutch is not pressed... what could it be?? maybe the transmission going bad??? please help!!

 

Read around the forum- transmission rattle is a well-known issue in our cars. If it really bothers you, try switching to a synthetic tranny oil like Royal Purple or Red Line

 

i was thinking the same thing. especially becuz i only heard this noise AFTER mazda fix my first one. (it was completely destroyed)
