Low Coolant Light
I recently did the fluid/drain procedure twice I found on the forum this past Saturday. I managed to get 2 1/2 gallons back into the system after the final drain. Is there any reason why when I am driving down the road at about 64mph that the low coolant light should come on? When i got to where I was going I looked at the reservoir and it was actually about an inch above the full line.
I am totally confused
What could be causing the light to come on if the system is full or even over serviced a little.

Yeah, and there are plenty of threads around here explaining roll-over noise in the factory transmission but that didn't stop you from recently asking an easily-searched question about it, yourself. Nor the question about your noisy air pump.

I didn't start a new thread now did I?? No, because I did a search.

No. You revived one from a couple years ago that had ZERO information in it.
Who really cares anymore about this "Search, NOOB!" nonsense anyway? It is fairly well-known around here that the search function is far less effective than even using Google to search the RX8Club. That is why I am no longer bothered by those who do not appear to have searched. Nobody needs to excuse anything when asking a question, either, because this forum has changed dramatically since the early days.
It is always the new guys who bust ***** about failing to search.........

I am using Prestone coolant and its 50/50. I noticed the light come on again today when I was driving like 30 mph to work. I will check that thread out again, I saw it the other day just didn't know if there were any other explanations than a new coolant bottle.

You wouldn't be confused at all if you would have spent the same amount of time it took to write this post searching through identicle posts to this one.

And the list goes on. Take a second and use the search button before wasting everyones time.

The bottom line is............you can
1.) Take the bottle out and attempt to clean it, but seems to only last a period of time.
2.) Buy a new bottle.
3.) Unplug the sensor and monitor coolant level on your own(suggest when checking the oil which should be every week.)
This usually starts out happening at high RPM's and gradually gets worse until it's on all the time. Sorry that first thread linked was so long, but I was trying to understand why it happens.

There's one more option:
4.) Let it be. Enjoy the light show. Think of bizarre explanations if your passenger asks what it means. (E.g., "It's a Greek temple. The car wants us to stop and get a gyro.")
