ON Loose cable in engine compartment....

I need help locating where this cable is going. It is a small single cable next to bigger one on the extreme right side (when hood is open) or driver side. It is pretty short and I don't know where it should go. I just purchase an Winning Blue 2004 RX8 and i have few issues with it.

Low Beam Lights Sensors don't work (low beam is extremely short, say 5-7m in front only)
My DRL module is toast (I found here what's about this module)
Engine Coolant Bottle Sensor is going on and off every 20 minutes or so...
Gas cap needs to be replaced (I found out this when I was doing safety)

Other then that no problems, except not so easy start when I shut down car for 5 minutes or so (on the gas station)

I will post picture later on... If necessary, while it is only 2 cables on that side.

Here are the pictures. It just take someone to pop-up the hood and to take a look... The color of the cable is grey.

That's not factory wiring. Could be an add on alarm wire, like maybe a hood sensor pin switch wire. Your best bet is to follow it the other direction into the interior and see where it goes.

Not factory?! As long as I can see there is nothing on the car after-market, unless the factory alarm was disabled and something else is there but I do have original remote for the car. While I am on the topic here with alarm system does all RX8 have next to the mirror some kind of the receiver with blue led flashing. It might happen that there is my after-market alarm or is this just HomeLink receiver?

Thanks. Need to figure out what is done to this car... Hope it will be short process... Hate to admit but I don't like those things especially the dealer I purchased the car told me that everything is factory.

I think that is alarm receiver and whoever install it did a good job to look like a factory...

I just get a quote for DRL module from a local dealer 133.97+tax=151.37CAD

HID Lights levelling sensor: $271+13% tax
I think we will build manual adjustment control that I can regulate from inside the car... Just need to talk to my electrician and put together parts...
